Canon sd 1000 OR sd 750 OR A720IS ?? ?
Canon Sd 1000 (ixy Digital 10) OR Power shot sd 750 OR Canon Power shot A720IS ?? without considering the price. which is better & Y?
1. A720IS has larger effective pixel which is better for large prints and let you crop your picture and still get good print outs.
2. A720IS has larger zoom: 6x vs. 3x. Larger zoom is definitely better.
3. SD750 has larger LCD monitor: 3" vs. 2.5", it's LCD also has higher resolution: 230K pixels vs. 207K for SD1000 and only115K for A720IS. This is nice to have but does not make you take better pictures.
4. A720IS offers higher shutter speed at 1/2000 vs. 1/1500 for the other two. Faster shutter speed is crucial for take fast moving subject and still want to have a clear picture.
5. A720IS offers more manual exposure controls
6. A720IS offers more flash controls
7. A720IS offers image stabilization
8. SD750 and SD1000 offer slightly higher continuous shooting frame rate at 1.7 fps vs. 1.3 fps for A720IS. But that does not really matter: all three models have low rate for this feature. A rate under 3 fps is not really that useful any way.
9. A720IS is the largest and heaviest.
So based on the above analysis, A720IS is the winner if you care for more control and being able take better pictures in more diverse conditions, though you have to lug around with more weight.
